Born in the Philippines, Ray was an only child always eager to become a man who made a difference even from a young age.  His remarkable journey began when he was just ten and his family moved from Manila to Detroit, Michigan.  The move preceded a very significant time in his life:   Being one of only two Asian kids in the neighborhood, Ray became the frequent victim of serious bullying for being “different.”  He experienced living in a foreign world where he felt as though he didn’t “fit in” and was often scared to go out. 

 

This led Ray’s mom to enroll him in a Martial Arts program to learn self defense.  As Ray entered into his teen years, his on-going Martial Arts experience gained him a level of self-confidence and success that many only dream of.

 

Grand Master, or Tuhon (meaning “highest” in martial arts), Ray Dionaldo is one of the most sought after Martial Arts instructors at an international level.  He has achieved a Ph.D. in Martial Arts, ranked black belt in 14 different martial arts systems and inspired thousands of other martial artists..  He is the founder and president of FCS kali Filipino Combat Systems out of Florida – a world-renowned Martial Arts system.  During this time, Ray’s travels and experiences in Martial Arts combat had him see and be a part of situations that few can comprehend, including the instruction of Special Operations and Tactical Forces all around world.
